The European Universities Winter Championships will take place for the second time in 2025, organized under the umbrella of the European University Sports Association (EUSA).
In collaboration with local organizers, Val di Zoldo will welcome student athletes from higher education institutions, aged 17 to 30, from December 15 to 17, 2025. Participants will compete in Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding, and Snow Volleyball, all in a friendly and laid-back atmosphere.
Organizing Committee
CUS Venezia A.S.D., affiliated to FederCUSI, has been carrying out since 1949 a continuous sporting activity ranging from motor and recreational activity to real agonism.
The CUS involves a very large number of people (about 3,000 per year) through different forms of aggregation which, for their continuous development, have made the Company acquire an absolutely relevant weight and incidence in the Veneto sports environment, thus consolidating over the years a know-how and an organisational capacity that place us as a reliable organisation and an important point of reference both for local bodies, whom relationships of effective collaboration are underway, both for the official sports bodies (CONI and Sports Federations).
CUS Venezia A.S.D. has a long and consolidated experience in organising major events, directly or in collaboration with Federations and Sports Associations.
At the organisational level, we have the following experience:
- National University Winter Championships in 1993, 2018 and 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023;
- National Spring University Championships in 1982 in Venice and in 2007 in Jesolo (VE);
- University World Handball Championships in 2008 in Jesolo;
- The International Athletics Meetings in the years from 1978 to 1983 with the presence of the greatest national and world athletes including Mennea, Dorio, Simeoni;
We also cooperated:
- With the FIPAV, to the organisation of the 1978 Volleyball World Championships;
- With Men's and Women's Volleyball League at the finals of the Italian Beach Volleyball Championships in 2001 and 2002 and at the men's Coppa Italia finals in 1992 and women's in 2002;
- With Venicemarathon, from 1986 to today, we have supported the organisation of all the editions of the marathon.
